A Note About Sensors
Sensors or Scanners are essential in the game, especially early when you are discovering stations and jump gates. It is highly recommended that you outfit your ship with a Triplex Scanner as soon as possible.

Scanners are the sensors that permit you to detect distant objects.
Various sensor packages have different ranges.

Item Availability
Most Military Outposts are places where these wares are available, especially triplex scanners. Satellites can also be found at some trading stations and the respective factories that produce them. Duplex scanners are widely available at many equipment docks.
