Salvage Insurance allows a recovery program to be put into operation that will enable the pilot to retrieve vital data and credits they have amassed so far.
You can buy Salvage Insurance at several stations. Each one gives you a single quicksave, i.e. it allows you to save without being docked at a station.
You can purchase Salvage Insurance from one of these stations:
- Terracorp HQ
- Goner Temple
- OTAS HQ
- Heretic's End
- some Orbital Defence Stations (Terran)
