TM Military Transports
TM class ships are Military Transports.
TMs are a recent development. These transporters are much better armed and shielded than their counterparts in the TS class, but their cargo capacity is vastly reduced due to the replacement of cargo bay volume with fighter docks. Most TMs can carry four fighters. They typically measure 150-240 meters in length.
TM combat tactics for the player largely revolve around using the TM's M6-grade shielding and basic armament to distract the opponent, while the fighters do the heavy lifting. The alternative is for the player to lead the fighter squadron, leaving the mothership adrift.
